Itinerary

DAY 1: Wednesday, 22 OctDeparture Manila /Arrival to Tel Aviv

  • Arrival in Ben Gurion Airport, Tel Aviv at 5:45PM.
  • We pass through security check then we meet with our guide and drive along the Mediterranean coast in Tel Aviv to the Galilee and check in to our hotel in downtown Tiberias where we will stay for 3 nights.
  • Dinner and overnight at Leonardo Tiberias Hotel. (D)

DAY 2: Thursday, 23 OctMegiddo – Mt. Precipice - Cana

  • After breakfast, we take the road to visit the strategic City of Megiddo, which Solomon fortified.
  • We will have a panoramic view of the Jezreel Valley, where the battle of Armageddon will take place in the future. We proceed to Mount Precipice, believed to be the site of the Rejection of Jesus described in the Gospel of Luke. Following this, renew our marriage vows at Cana as we remember the first miracle performed by Jesus.
  • We drive back to Leonardo Tiberias for Dinner and overnight. (B/L/D)

DAY 3: Friday, 24 OctLower Galilee

  • Today we focus on sites from the life of Christ and take a boat ride across the Sea of Galilee as we sing praises to the Lord. View the “Jesus Boat” an ancient boat used by fishermen in that area during the first century.
  • Following this, we recite the Beatitudes at the Mount where we remember the teachings of Jesus.
  • We then have a lunch of St. Peter’s Fish. We proceed to Capernaum, where a synagogue was found dating back at the time of Jesus. The feeding of the 5000 is commemorated at Tabgha. Jesus called Peter to “feed His sheep” at the Peter’s Primacy along the banks of the Sea of Galilee. We then end the day at Yardenit, the traditional baptismal site on the Jordan River.  Anyone who wants to be baptized or rededicated can do it there.
  • We return to Leonardo Tiberias Hotel for Dinner and overnight in Tiberias. (B/L/D)

DAY 4: 25 Saturday, OctTiberias - Dead Sea

  • We leave Galilee and travel to Beit Shean, one of the Decapolis Cities during the time of Jesus.
  • Then continue our drive down south to the Dead Sea and stop at Masada, Herod the Great’s magnificent- fortified palace in the sky, and the site of the Jewish Zealot’s last stand resistance against the Roman legions in A.D. 73.
  • We check in to our hotel, and we can enjoy the spa or go for an “unsinkable swim” in the Dead Sea.
  • Dinner and Overnight at Royal Dead Sea. (B/L/D)

DAY 5: Sunday, 26 OctDead Sea – Jerusalem

  • Today we check-out of our hotel, and drive to Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. We proceed to Jericho, the city that Joshua conquered and where Jesus met Zacchaeus. We will have a quick view of the Mount of Temptation, then continue our drive up to Jerusalem where our first stop is the Mount of Olives, with a Panoramic view of Jerusalem.   From there we take a walk down the Palm Sunday Road, stopping by the Dominus Flevit where a church was built to remember the place where Jesus wept over Jerusalem. Continuing along, we arrive at the Jewish Cemetery on the Mount of Olives, the oldest and most important Jewish cemetery in Jerusalem. At the foot of the mount is the Garden of Gethsemane where we visit the Church of All Nations and pause for a moment of solemn reflection.
  • We then check in to Ibis Jerusalem hotel for our dinner and accommodation for 3nights. (B/L/D)

DAY 6: Monday, 27 OctJerusalem - Bethlehem

  • We make an early start at the Temple Mount, where the temple was located in Jesus’ time. We enter the Old City through Lion’s gate, walk the way of suffering, the Via Dolorosa beginning at the Pools of Bethesda and sing praises at Anne’s church. Pass through Antonia Fortress ending at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. We pass through the Cardo and spend a few hours shopping in the Old City. Then we travel a few kilometers south to Bethlehem where we see the Shepherds’ Fields and the Church of the Nativity.
  • We return to Ibis Jerusalem hotel for dinner and overnight. (B/L/D)

DAY 7: Tuesday, 28 OctMount Zion – Southern Steps

  • We start the day at the Israel Museum where the Dead Sea Scrolls are displayed and view a magnificent scale model of Jerusalem as it was in the time of Christ. From there we proceed to Friends of Zion Museum located in downtown Jerusalem, after the tour we will have free time for lunch and explore the city on our own. We proceed to Mount Zion and visit the Upper Room, see King David’s tomb and the traditional site of the Lord’s Supper. Continue to the Southern Steps of the Temple Mount, believed to be where Jesus would often teach when he was in Jerusalem. Experience a thrilling walk-through Hezekiah’s Tunnel, a 2,700-year-old water tunnel carved beneath the City of David and discover the ingenuity of ancient engineering firsthand.
  • We return to Ibis Jerusalem hotel for Dinner and Overnight. (B/-/D)

DAY 8: Wednesday, 29 OctJerusalem – Jaffa – Tel Aviv Airport

  • We check out of our hotel and proceed at the Garden Tomb for a communion service. We visit the Western (Wailing) Wall, the holiest site of the Jews and where prayer requests are slipped into cracks of the wall. We end the tour in Jaffa, stroll the ancient streets (Biblical Joppa) where Peter saw a vision of unclean animals leading him to an encounter with Cornelius.
  • We then travel to Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv to check-in for flight back home via EK93 at 6:15PM Departure. (B/L/-)

DAY 9: Thursday, 30 OctDubai – Manila

  • We transit in Dubai and arrive back in Manila at 3:55 PM via Emirates EK332, concluding our unforgettable pilgrimage.
  • We read our Bible with a new understanding.
