PRE-TOUR: May 13, MondayDEPARTURE FROM MANILA

  • Check in at NAIA Terminal 3 for flight to Istanbul via Dubai.

DAY 1: May 14, TuesdayISTANBUL – BURSA

  • We arrive in Istanbul at 2:25PM
  • We meet with our guide and drive to Ferry Station to Bursa. (154km/approx. 3hr). A city rich in history, culture, and natural beauty.
  • We check in to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

DAY 2: May 15, WednesdayBURSA - IZNIK - CANAKKALE

  • After breakfast at the hotel, we will visit Ancient İznik – was called Nicaea (or Nicea) and was primarily known for hosting the First Council of Nicea in 325AD (which later came to be known as the First and Seventh Ecumenical Councils of the Christian Church). During the council the Nicene Creed was formulated, a statement of belief used in Christian liturgy. While visiting Iznik, one can appreciate the historical significance of the city in relation to the formulation of the Nicene Creed and its impact on Christian theology.
  • Continue to Canakkale (344 km/approx 5hr). We will visit Troy Ancient Ruins with wooden horse. Troy is one of the prominent treasures of the world cultural heritage due to the archaeological findings and the legends forming important epic of classical antiquity. Experience the main roots of civilizations.
  • We proceed to our hotel for dinner and overnight in Ayvalik.

DAY 3: May 16, ThurdayAYVALIK – PERGAMUM - THYATIRA - SMYRNA - KUSADASI

  • After breakfast at the hotel, we drive to Bergama (62km/approx.1 hr).
  • We will visit Pergamum (Revelation 2:12-17). It is also listed as UNESCO World Heritage Pergamon and its Multi-Layered Cultural Landscape is the site of a magnificent acropolis situated atop a high hill overlooking the modern town of Bergama. Then, we drive to Akhisar (83 km/approx. 1hr).
  • We will visit Thyatira (Revelation 2:18-29) The Church of Thyatira was told to persist in their beliefs, despite the lack of a strong church in the city.
  • We proceed to Izmir (105km/approx 2hr). Later we will visit Ancient Smyrna (Revelation 2:8-11) Agora Ancient City. It was founded by the Greeks, taken over by the Romans, and rebuilt by Alexander the Great before becoming part of the Ottoman Empire in the 15th century. We then drive to Kusadasi (99km/approx 2hr).
  • Dinner at the hotel and overnight in Kusadasi.

DAY 4: May 17, FridayKUSADASI - EPHESUS - KUSADASI

  • After breakfast at the hotel, we will drive to Ephesus (Revelation 2:1-7) where St John lived. Ephesus was an important Roman city, the Church congregation here is believed to have been quite strong, with Christianity eventually becoming the city’s chief religion.
  • After that, proceed to the Basilica of St. John. After John was exiled to Patmos, it is believed that he came back to Ephesus before his death and passed his last years around Ayasuluk Hills. In the 6th century, Emperor Justinian (527-65 AD) believed that a tomb dating from the 300s was John’s, so he built a magnificent church on the site dedicated to the saint.
  • Today’s last visit will be to The House of Virgin Mary. It is believed that the Virgin Mary, the mother of Jesus, supposedly spent the last years of her life in this house.
  • We return to our hotel for dinner and overnight in Kusadasi

DAY 5: May 18, SaturdaySARDIS - PHILADELPHIA - LAODICEA - PAMUKKALE

  • After breakfast and check out, we visit Sardis (145 km/approx. 3 hr). Sardis (Revelation 3:1-6) was one of the wealthiest Roman cities in the area. Home to a significant Jewish population, Sardis was a bustling city important to the growth of the Church in the area. Proceed to Philadelphia (50 km/approx. 1hr). Philadelphia (Rev. 3: 7-13) was a thriving city under Roman rule. Modern-day Alasehir (God’s City) is a titular see of the Roman Catholic Church. Artifacts from Alasehir’s colorful past are found throughout the city. 
  • Then, we drive to Laodicea (97 km/approx. 2 hr). Laodicea (Rev. 3: 14-22), in ancient times, was a key city in the area. Important for trade and as an important Christian site.
  • We proceed to Pamukkale for dinner at the hotel and overnight.

DAY 6: May 19, SundayPAMUKKALE - PISIDIA-KONYA

  • After breakfast at the hotel, we will visit the Ancient City of Hierapolis and Pamukkale travertines,  located in southwestern Turkey, are a natural wonder renowned for their unique and striking appearance. Pamukkale, which translates to “Cotton Castle” in Turkish, is a series of terraces made of white mineral-rich deposits formed over thousands of years. These terraces are created by the flow of thermal waters containing calcium carbonate, which solidifies and forms the dazzling white travertine formations. At the top of the travertines, you will find the ancient city of Hierapolis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Hierapolis was a thriving Roman city known for its thermal baths, theaters, and necropolis. Exploring the ruins of this ancient city provides a fascinating glimpse into the past. Then we drive to Konya (394km/approx. 6hr).
  • On the way, we will visit Pisidia Antiokheia; the place where St. Paul visited and spread Christianity were accepted as pilgrimage centers.
  • Dinner at the hotel and overnight in Konya.

DAY 7: May 20, MondayKONYA - CAPPADOCIA

  • After breakfast at the hotel, we will drive to Cappadocia (238 km/approx 4hr). On our way, we will have a photo stop by Sultanhani Caravansarai. It is a historical caravanserai that draws attention to its stonemasonry.
  • We will visit Cavusin Village that is one of the oldest settlement in Cappadocia. We proceed to Avanos for the Pottery Workshop where we can learn how to make pottery which is a tradition of 4000 years in Avanos.
  • We check in to our hotel in Cappadocia for dinner and overnight.    .

DAY 8: May 21, TuesdayCAPPADOCIA

  • Optional: Hot Air Balloon Tour
  • After breakfast at the hotel, we start our tour in Goreme Open Air Museum where we can enjoy the complex with rock cave churches, and houses. We continue to one of the Underground City. Ensuring the security of the inhabitants is the main reason for the construction of the cities under the ground. We will have a chance the see where the people have lived during the wars, and natural disasters. We then visit the famous Carpet Workshop where you can see carpets decorated with motifs reflecting cultural richness of Anatolia and learn how to weave carpets. After the tour, we will have photo stops in Pigeon Valley which is named after pigeon nests carved into rocks, Devrent Valley which is famous for its Camel Rock, and photo stop by Uchisar Castle which is the biggest fairy chimney seen from all over Cappadocia.
  • We return to our hotel for dinner and overnight

DAY 9: May 22, WednesdayCAPPADOCIA – BOLU

  • After breakfast, we check out of our hotel and begin our tour at Salt Lake (190km/ 2 hr), also known as Lake Abant, is a picturesque destination located in the Bolu province of Turkey. It offers a serene and natural setting, making it a popular spot for tourists The Salt lake hosts hundreds of bird species, it also draws attention with its endemic plants. The lake itself is a stunning natural feature, known for its crystal-clear waters reflecting the surrounding landscape. You can take a leisurely walk along the lakeside, enjoying the fresh air and peaceful ambiance. After that, we will drive to Bolu (190 km/approx 2hr).
  • Dinner at the hotel and overnight in Bolu.

DAY 10: May 23, ThursdayBOLU - ISTANBUL

  • After breakfast and check out, we will drive back to Istanbul (257 km/approx 4hr). Upon arrival in Istanbul, we visit Old City (Sultanahmet).
  • We will start the tour with Topkapi Palace (closed on Tuesdays); The Ottoman Palace, famous for being one of the most beautiful landscapes that make up Istanbul’s skyline, is a treasure trove of history on the historical peninsula. We proceed to Hagia Sophia Mosque; with its innovative architecture, rich history, religious significance, and extraordinary characteristics has been fighting against time for centuries, was the largest Eastern Roman Church in Istanbul. Constructed three times in the same location, it is the world’s oldest and fastest-completed cathedral.
  • We continue the tour with photo stop by the Blue Mosque, also known as Sultanahmet Mosque, famous for its beautiful blue tiles inside the mosque. We will have a short stop at the Hippodrome; was the sporting and social center of Constantinople.
  • After dinner, we proceed to our hotel for check in and overnight.

DAY 11: May 24, FridayBOSPHORUS CRUISE - FLIGHT TO TELAVIV

  • After breakfast, we check out of our hotel and proceed to Eminonu where we will get on the Bosphorus Cruise. During the tour, we will have the chance to see both the European Side and the Asian Side of Istanbul. On the European Side, we will see many historical monuments and buildings such as; Galata Tower, Dolmabahce Palace, Ciragan Palace, Ortakoy Mosque, and Rumeli Fortress. On the Asian Side of Istanbul we see Kucuksu Palace which was built in the 19th century and used as a hunting lodge by the Ottoman Empire along with the Beylerbeyi Palace which was a summer palace for royal family.
  • We will walk to the Spice Bazaar from port which is one of the oldest covered bazaars in Istanbul. Inside the bazaar we can find spices, dried fruits, cheeses, sausages, jams, nuts and seeds, Turkish Delight, souvenirs, and more.
  • Later, we proceed to Istikal Street & Taksim; the most popular shopping area of Istanbul. Enjoy free time for shopping and Lunch will be on our own arrangement where we may find all local street foods; kebabs; international cuisine through the lively streets of Taksim.
  • After lunch and free time at Taksim Square; we will drive to airport to check in to our flight to TelAviv. Departure from Istanbul to Telaviv at 8:30PM via PC785.
  • Arrive in Telaviv, we meet with our guide and transfer to our hotel in Tiberias for check in.

DAY 12: May 25, SaturdayARRIVE IN TELAVIV

  • .After breakfast, we will ride a boat along the Sea of Galilee reminds us of Jesus’ ministry around the Galilee. Recite the Beatitudes at the Mount where we remember the teachings of Jesus.
  • Visit Capernaum, where a synagogue was found dating back at the time of Jesus.
  • We end the day with a symbolic baptism at the river Jordan.

DAY 13: May 26, SundayBEIT SHEAN – JERICO – MASADA

  • We check out of our hotel and visit the archaeological site of one of the Decapolis cities – Beit Shean.
  • We then take the Road to Jericho. The city that Joshua first conquered and where Jesus met Zacchaeus sitting atop a Sycamore Tree.
  • We then drive down South to the Dead Sea, check in to our hotel there and enjoy a floating experience in Dead Sea. Dinner and overnight in Dead Sea.

DAY 14: May 27, MondayDEAD SEA – MOUNT OF OLIVES – JERUSALEM

  • After breakfast and check out, we drive and take a cable car up to Masada and take a tour of the historical fortress built by Herod the Great. We stop next to Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found among its caves. Then we experience the hospitality of Abraham at Genesis Land. After Lunch, we drive up to Jerusalem, our first stop will be at Mount of Olives for a panoramic view of Jerusalem then proceed down the Palm Sunday Road for a triumphal entry experience, stopping at Dominus Flevit where Jesus wept over Jerusalem.
  • Proceed to the Garden of Gethsemane for prayers, we then check in to our hotel in Jerusalem. In the evening we visit Western wall and Western Wall Tunnel. Overnight in Jerusalem.

DAY 15: May 28, TuesdayJERUSALEM

  • We make an early start at the Temple Mount, where the temple was located in Jesus time. We enter the Old City through Lion’s gate, walk the way of suffering, the Via Dolorosa beginning at the Pools of Bethesda and sing praises at St. Anne’s church. Pass through Antonia Fortress ending at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.
  • Visit the Cardo and the Temple Institute. We proceed to Mount Zion and visit the Upper Room, see King David’s tomb and the traditional site of the Lord’s Supper. From there we proceed to Friends of Zion Museum located in downtown Jerusalem.
  • Dinner and Overnight in Jerusalem.

DAY 16: May 29, WednesdayJERUSALEM

  • After Breakfast, we check out of our hotel and begin our day at the ancient City of King David, the place where David established his kingdom and where the history of the people of Israel was written.
  • We walk through below ground and step into the ancient main street of Jerusalem leading us into the Southern Steps of the Temple Mount, believed to be where Jesus would often teach when he was in Jerusalem.
  • We proceed to the Garden Tomb for a communion service.
  • We continue to Israel Museum, where the Dead Sea Scrolls are displayed and view a magnificent scale model of Jerusalem as it was in the time of Christ then we drive for airport check in at 6pm for flight back to Manila

DAY 17: May 30, ThursdayRETURN TO MANILA

  • Transit in Dubai.
  • We arrive in Manila. We read our Bible with a new understanding.
