Itinerary

PRE-TOUR: SEP 04 WEDNESDAYDeparture from Manila

  • Check in 6:00pm at NAIA3 Airport for evening flight to Tel Aviv via Abu Dhabi on Etihad Airways.

DAY 1: SEP 05 THURSDAYArrival to TelAviv via ETIHAD AIRWAYS

  • Arrival in Ben Gurion Airport, Tel Aviv at 12:20PM. We pass through security check then we meet with our guide and drive along the Mediterranean coast in Tel Aviv and have a stroll in Jaffa, see the ancient streets (Biblical Joppa) where Peter saw a vision of unclean animals leading him to an encounter with Cornelius.
  • We then drive to Galilee and check in to a brand-new hotel near Capernaum where we will stay for 3 nights.
  • Dinner and overnight at David’s Harp Hotel. (D)

DAY 2: SEP 06 FRIDAYMegiddo – Mt. Precipice – Cana

  • After breakfast, we take the road to visit the strategic City of Megiddo, which Solomon fortified.  We will have a panoramic view of the Jezreel Valley, where the battle of Armageddon will take place in the future. 
  • We proceed to Mount Precipe, believed to be the site of the Rejection of Jesus described in the Gospel of Luke. Following this, renew our marriage vows at Cana as we remember the first miracle performed by Jesus.
  • We drive back to Tiberias for Dinner and overnight at David’s Harp Hotel. (B/L/D)

DAY 3: SEP 07 SATURDAYLower Galilee

  • Today we focus on sites from the life of Christ and take a boat ride across the Sea of Galilee as we sing praises to the Lord. View the “Jesus Boat” an ancient boat used by fishermen in that area during the first century. Following this, we recite the Beatitudes at the Mount where we remember the teachings of Jesus. We then have a lunch of St. Peter’s Fish. 
  • We proceed to Capernaum, where a synagogue was found dating back at the time of Jesus. The feeding of the 5000 is commemorated at Tabgha. Jesus called Peter to “feed His sheep” at the Peter’s Primacy along the banks of the Sea of Galilee.
  • We then end the day at Yardenit, the traditional baptismal site on the Jordan River.  Anyone who wants to be baptised or rededicated can do it there. We return to David’s Harp Hotel for Dinner and overnight in Tiberias. (B/L/D)

DAY 4: SEP 08 SUNDAYNazareth – Jericho – Dead Sea

  • We leave Galilee and visit Nazareth Village where we experience what it was like at the time of Jesus.  From there we travel to Beit Shean, one of the Decapolis Cities during the time of Jesus.  We proceed to Jericho, the city that Joshua conquered and where Jesus met Zacchaeus.
  • We will have a quick view of the Mount of Temptation, then continue our drive down south to the Dead Sea. We check in to our hotel, and we can enjoy the spa or go for an “unsinkable swim” in the Dead Sea.
  • Dinner and Overnight at Enjoy (formerly Daniel) Dead Sea Resort. (B/L/D)

DAY 5: SEP 09 MONDAYDead Sea – Jerusalem

  • Today we check out of our hotel, and visit Masada, Herod the Great’s magnificent fortified palace in the sky, and the site of the Jewish Zealot’s last stand resistance against the Roman legions in A.D. 73. Following this, we drive to Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered, then we experience the “hospitality” of Abraham at Genesis Land. After lunch we drive up to Jerusalem and check-in to Olive Tree hotel for our accommodation for 3 nights.  After Dinner at the hotel, we visit the Western (Wailing) Wall, the holiest site of the Jews and where prayer requests are slipped into cracks of the wall, then we enter the Western Wall Tunnels.
  • We return to our hotel for overnight. (B/L/D)

DAY 6: SEP 10 TUEDAYMount Olives – Southern Steps

  • After breakfast, we start our day at the Mount of Olives, with a panoramic view of the old city of Jerusalem.  From there we take a walk down the Palm Sunday Road, stopping by the Dominus Flevit where a church was built to remember the place where Jesus wept over Jerusalem. At the foot of the mount is the Garden of Gethsemane where we visit the Church of All Nations and pause for a moment of solemn reflection. We proceed to the YadVashem Holocaust Museum. Following this, we visit the ancient City of King David, the place where David established his kingdom and where the history of the people of Israel was written. 
  • We walk through below ground and step into the ancient main street of Jerusalem leading us into the Southern Steps of the Temple Mount, believed to be where Jesus would often teach when he was in Jerusalem. We end the day at Friends of Zion Museum located in downtown Jerusalem.
  • We return to Olive Tree hotel for Dinner and Overnight. (B/LD)

DAY 7: SEP 11 WEDNESDAYTemple Mount – Old City of Jerusalem

  • We make an early start at the Temple Mount, where the temple was located in Jesus time. We enter the Old City through Lion’s gate, walk the way of suffering, the Via Dolorosa beginning at the Pools of Bethesda and sing praises at St. Anne’s church.
  • Pass through Antonia Fortress ending at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.  Visit the Cardo and the Temple Institute.  We proceed to Mount Zion and visit the Upper Room, see King David’s tomb and the traditional site of the Lord’s Supper.
  • We return to Olive Tree hotel for Dinner and Overnight. (B/L/D)

DAY 8: SEP 12 THURSDAYGarden Tomb – Departure / Return Flight

  • We check out of our hotel and conclude the tour at the Garden Tomb for a communion service.

  • We then travel to Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv to check-in for flight back home via EY594@1445 Departure. (B)

POST-TOUR: SEP 13 FRIDAYTransit/Arrival Manila

  • Transit in Abu Dhabi for 8hrs.
  • We arrive in Manila in the afternoon. We read our Bible with a new understanding.
